7 day city guide trip to Cali, Colombia
Day 1:
Wake up early and head to San Antonio, a colorful neighborhood with colonial architecture and winding streets. Visit the La Merced church, climb up to the top of the hill to see the Christ statue and enjoy the great view of the city. For lunch, try the traditional Caleño dish “sancocho de gallina” at Hacienda El Paraíso. In the evening, go to the Boulevard del Río and enjoy some drinks while listening to live salsa music.
Day 2:
Take a day trip to the nearby town of Buga and visit the Basílica del Señor de los Milagros, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Colombia. In the afternoon, head back to Cali and visit the Museo La Tertulia, which has a great collection of modern and contemporary art from Latin America.
Day 3:
Start the day with a visit to the Cristo Rey monument, which stands atop a hill overlooking the city. In the afternoon, head to the Cali Zoo, which has over 2000 animals from over 200 different species.
Day 4:

How to continue your travel after you have spent 7 days in Cali
If you have some extra time in Colombia, I highly recommend visiting the towns of Salento and Jardín. Salento is known for its beautiful coffee farms and the stunning Valle de Cocora, where you can hike amongst the tallest palm trees in the world. Jardín is a charming town with colorful buildings, great coffee and some of the most friendly people in Colombia. Both towns are easily accessible by bus from Cali and are worth spending a few days in.
